About BallaAfrica

BallaAfrica is an Isle of Man charity registered in June 2008. It was created to give all residents of the Isle of Man an opportunity to get involved in making a difference to the lives of people who are less fortunate than us.

Our Aim

The long-term aim is to successfully establish a community centre from where volunteers can run organised projects such as providing food, medication and education to aids orphans and other people in poverty stricken areas.

Our Foundations

BallaAfrica was founded by Johan Loubser. Johan worked with malnourished children in the area many years ago, but the sad impressions of these children have been imprinted in his memory. When Johan arrived on the Isle of Man he started the charity, hoping to make a difference in the lives of some of these children.

A broad spectrum of people help Johan to raise money for this charity, but by being a teacher he also develops the personal and social skills of many young people who get involved and he raises awareness of the global problem of poverty.
